As the One Piece story continues, we recap which are the most epic of fights that have occurred amongst the legendary pirates and Marines in the One Piece world. For the rest of the best fights for Luffy you can find them here. How about the battles for the Strawhat pirates such as the infamous Roronoa Zoro and Sanji? You can find it all here.
World’s Strongest Pirate Whitebeard vs Marine Admiral Akunai and Blackbeard
Why is Whitebeard the strongest pirate after Rogers? This battle will tell all. A much older Edward Newgate was still “moderately” able to smashed down Sakazuki (aka Akainu) during the Summit War arc, and this is the future Fleet Admiral who we are talking about.
Still, the enraged Whitebeard after seeing his own “son” Ace being killed by Sakazuki, was able to defeat the then Admiral with one final blow that even broke Marineford, Headquarters of the Marine, into pieces.
Subsequently, Whitebeard took on Blackbeard, the future Yonko who replaced him in the Four Emperors list. Deeply drained after so many fights, Whitebeard was still able to hold his own against a fully powered Blackbeard, aka Marshall D.Teach. If not for the attacks of the whole of Blackbeard’s crew against him, Whitebeard’s last attack would have sunk him.
Despite the end outcome of whitebeard being killed, all these was achieved after Whitebeard fought through tonnes of marines and even being stabbed by his own misled crew captain with wounds bleeding everywhere.
Firefist Ace vs Yonko Blackbeard
The son of the pirate king vs the future Yonko. This was the fight that started off the epic Marineford battle. When Blackbeard, who has 0 bounty, wanted to have a bargaining chip to be included into the government’s Shichibukai list so that he has time to plan and consolidate more powerful crew members, wanted to search and take out Luffy and his crew to be presented to the government, instead gotten “Firefist Ace” Portgas D. Ace.
Blackbeard Marshall D.Teach came from Ace’s division while they were both under Whitebeard. Ace had to search out for Blackbeard when he betrayed the Whitebeard crew by killing another division’s commander Thatch to obtained his current Dark-Dark Fruit.
Both were at their full might during the battle, and sadly, despite Ace’s natural genes of his father, Pirate King Gol D. Roger, together with his Flame-Flame devil fruit ability, the 550 million bounty pirate superstar was no match for the Yonko Blackbeard.
Admiral Kizaru vs 4 Supernova Pirate Captains – (Basil Hawkins / X Drake / Urogue / Scratchmen Apoo)
How do you become an Admiral? Easy, just take out a couple of Supernova Rookie Pirates each worth more than X00 million berries bounty without breaking a sweat. How is that possible you say? Just saw chapter 507 or episope 400 of the series for the Sabaody Archipelago arc.
He came, he saw, he conquered. When Borsalino (aka Kizaru) arrived on the Sabaody island to handle the World Noble incident, he met up with four of the Supernova rookies in Basil Hawkins, X Drake, Urogue as well as Scratchmen Apoo. Even though Apoo thought he dealt a fatal wound when he blew up Kizaru, only to find out that due to Kizaru’s Glint-Glint (glimmer) fruit ability he was able to reformed himself.
End result: one blow for each pirate captain from Kizaru is able to KO them out. If not for Rayleigh, the Dark King and right-hand man of Pirate King Rogers, interfering, Luffy and his crew may most likely be captured by Kizaru, the Admiral and crowned by the World Government as the “Greatest Military Powers”.
Revolutionary Army #2 Sabo vs Purple Tiger Admiral Fujitora
A duel with no conclusion, but still an epic battle nonetheless. When Sabo, the sworn brother of both Luffy and Ace as well as the number two in the revolutionary army, inherited the Flame-Flame fruit, it was like watching Firefist Ace version 2.
Gravity vs Flame had the whole town in Dressrosa in disarray when both of them went at each other using the full repertoire of techniques. Haki vs Haki, Devil fruit vs Devil fruit, Sabo and Fujitora showed what it means to stand at the top of their respective organization. Fortunately for Sabo, Fujitora’s next killer move of summoning a meteorite went fruitless when it was cut up by the string cage constructed by Shichibukai Doflamingo.
While we are waiting excitedly for the future bounty release for Sabo, we can also hardly wait for the other half of the powerful duo “Beasts” of the Marine Admirals, the “Green Bull” Ryokugyu to appear, especially with the spectacular entrance of Purple Tiger Fujitora.
Shichibukai Trafalgar D. Law vs Shichibukai Donquixote Doflamingo
The battle of the Shichibukais. In this battle, we can see that not all Warlords of the Sea come the same and the differences may be very wide. Already a 440 million bounty Warlord when Law first joined the Shichibukai, only to find out that Doflamingo, a world noble and captain of the Donquixote Pirates, was of a different league.
Since the start of the One Piece manga, we have already seen Doflamingo in some of the actions, justifying his tag worthy of the Shichibukai title. This was shown during the Summit War arc when he easily was able to use his String-string ability to cut of Little Oars Jr. leg as well as taking control of “Diamond” Jozu, the 3rd Division Commander of the fame Whitebeard Pirates. Hack, Doflamingo even manage to beat Marine Vice Admiral Smoker hands down. Not to mention about the conqueror’s haki that he is able to use at ease.
Of course, Law isn’t a shabby pirate either. Notable wins against Smoker and Vergo, a highly ranked executive member of the Donquixote Pirates who acts as a spy by infiltrating the Marine organization, puts “Surgeon of Death” Law higher up in the strongest pirates list.
However, when the duel came, there was only one clear winner with Law suffering an overwhelming defeat. Doflamingo was so strong that he made Law lose an arm, and only through two rounds of Luffy’s gear four technique was Shichibukai Doflamingo finally defeated.
