Possibly the last game in the Naruto Shippuden series as the manga comes to an epic end. Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 will easily fit into the list of best anime games ever.
Huge Character Cast & Costume List
It’s huge, very very huge. The characters are already counting above a hundred (Not including your DLCs). Whatever character you can think of in the manga series, it will most probably be in the Ninja Storm 4 game.
The characters itself may also have different versions (not costumes) that allows it to have different ability and secret techniques. Naruto Uzumaki in Sage of the Six paths mode allows him to use the Tailed Beast Planetary Rasen Shuriken, whereas Naruto in Kurama Link Mode only uses the Super Mini Tailed Beast Bomb Rasengan.
Not to also forget that many characters have more than just 1 costume. For example, Sakura’s costume ranges from her usual clothings to the Ninja World and even the final set just before the end of the story. There are just so many choices and versions that you will just spend time admiring the various options available.
Slick movement and Awesome Graphics rule the day
If you have the television to support it, the 1080p graphics output from PS4 and Xbox will just be downright jaw dropping.
Every single move is finely crafted and the speed which it is displaced just makes you feel like you are in an actual fight scene. Sometimes you won’t even have much time to think.
Immerse yourself in the beautiful animation whenever you are able to pull off the secret technique finishing move or ultimate Jutsu.
Everything in the fighting scene is just so smooth, just make sure you are focusing on the fight rather than admiring the graphics surrounding it.
Team linked combo attacks and secret techniques
Besides the amazing graphics powering the ultimate jutsu for each character, the better part is actually a team level activated ultimate jutsu.
I think this is a great add-on, just imagine that a Shinobi in the world of Naruto is suppose to be a great team player that works with and support other team mates.
With this combo attack, you get to view the many many different ways of special attacks. Say for Naruto and Sasuke, they have different various combinations of jutsu that they can use together.
Adventure Mode more fulfilling than Story Mode
This option starts after the great ninja war, so that’s when Kakashi is the 7th hokage as well. You get to scroll past places such as the different villages – Sand, Leaf, Cloud etc, and talk to many of your familiar faces that is populating the maps.
As you revive many memories during the earlier days of the anime series, you will enter into that particular battle, say during the ninja exams when Hinata had to fight Neji.
Many of the small side quest such as the Ninja World Tournament is also a great way for more playability in this mode.
Game story plot and dialogue adds more emotion into each scene and character
The core focus of this game is mainly during the fourth Ninja War in the Naruto series. During the gameplay there will be a lot of additional narratives and dialogues in the scenes and battle to give more depth into understanding the whole shinobi universe and the story plot.
The game itself easily clocks in more than seven hours and more of gameplay. To me, the focus on the Ninja War itself would be the classical end to the best game in the Naruto Storm series and the very best and fitting end of one of the top selling manga in history.
If you have limited time and money for just one Naruto game, just get this Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4.
